When Michael Rasko couldn’t find a bar in the U.S. that reliably showed cricket matches, he decided to build one himself. Sticky Wicket, located in Portland’s St. Johns neighborhood, is the only sports bar in the country dedicated entirely to cricket—and it’s already creating community.
In this video interview, Michael shares how a casual love of cricket turned into a bold business idea, how the Portland Community College Small Business Development Center (PCC SBDC) helped him launch, and what it took to open his doors in May 2025.
