The 2027 Kia Telluride X-Pro represents a major evolution of the three-row SUV from Kia, bringing in both enhanced capability and refined luxury features.

Under the hood, the base powertrain offered is a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 274 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.

For drivers seeking greater efficiency and performance, there is also a hybrid version of this 2.5-litre turbo coupled with a 1.65 kWh lithium-ion battery and electric motors, offering a combined output of 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Kia estimates this hybrid powertrain delivers up to 35 mpg combined, with a total driving range of about 600 miles.

In terms of its rugged X-Pro designation, the vehicle stands apart by featuring an advanced all-wheel-drive system with an electronic limited-slip differential (E-LSD) which permits a 50/50 torque distribution front to rear under certain conditions.

The X-Pro variant raises the ground clearance to 9.1 inches and is equipped with wider all-terrain tires, a multi-terrain AWD mode, and a “Ground View Monitor” that displays a composite view of the ground beneath the vehicle when driving slowly — all aimed at enhancing off-road performance.

Dimensionally, the new model has been stretched compared to its predecessor. It offers a wheelbase of 116.9 inches and an overall length of 199.2 inches, providing more second-row headroom, improved third-row access, and increased cargo space behind the third row.

Inside, the cabin has been upgraded with luxury touches: available front “relaxation” seats with leg rests and a driver’s massage function, available power second-row captain’s chairs (heated & ventilated), heated third-row seats, dual wireless phone chargers, and features such as smartphone or smart watch integration for vehicle access.

The new infotainment architecture includes dual 12.3-inch screens and full wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all trims. From a styling and efficiency perspective, aerodynamic refinement has reduced the drag coefficient from 0.33 to 0.30.

Safety and convenience features are robust: the model comes with 10 standard airbags, including a front-row centre airbag between driver and passenger.

A comprehensive suite of driver-assistance systems is included, such as Highway Driving Assist, Lane Following Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance, Safe Exit Warning, and a Rear Occupant Alert system capable of sending a push notification to a smartphone.

The X-Pro model further underscores its capability with rugged exterior touches such as blacked-out wheel arches, side mirrors, special roof rails, and tow hooks front & rear. Manufacturing is set to take place in West Point, Georgia, and the vehicle is expected to be available in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2026.
