Today we are going to speak about one of the most famous weapons in the world RPG-7.

The RPG-7 is undoubtedly the most famous anti-tankrocket launcher ever devised since its introduction in 1961. It remains in production with more than 9 million units produced to date. The RPG-7continues to serve with over 40 countries, plus a large number of irregular military groups.

⚔️INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT RPG-7⚔️

⚔️ The RPG-7 is a further development of the 1949 RPG-2, itself based onthe World War II German Panzerfaust and US Bazooka. Its chief improvements over the RPG-2 are much-improved range and increased armor penetration.
⚔️ The RPG-7 was used by the Provisional Irish Republican Army in Northern Ireland from 1969 to 2005, most notably in Lurgan, County Armagh, where it was used against British Army observation posts andthe towering military base at Kitchen Hill in the town. The IRA al soused them in Catholic areas of West Belfast against British Army armored personnel carriers and Army forward operating bases.Beechmount Avenue in Belfast became known as "RPG Avenue" after attacks on British troops.
⚔️ In Mogadishu, Somalia, RPG-7s were used to down two U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters in 1993.
