Full Dragon Sculpture part 6. Scales! Lots of them...

Got the majority of these dragon scales done! This is a polymer clay craft project (sculpting demonstration) I show how I create a dragon one stage at a time all in time lapse! So you can see it come to life when watching the whole playlist Polymer clay is a sculpting compound used for all sorts of things ranging from sculpture, jewelry, charms, bracelets, home decor, heck I even make a wall clock using this clay! This clay will never dry out either, it stays soft until you bake it in the oven (see instructions on package) It also comes in MANY different colors, and those colors can be mixed or blended to create nearly any color imaginable. It can also be sanded, drilled, machined, painted and even re-baked!

None of the scales in this video and photos are cleaned yet.. I figure I'd spend a few hours just before baking to clean everything up (minor fixes and the removal of fingerprints) If your wondering, the areas I left un-scaled are going to be textured in a different manner.. I'm not quite sure in what way yet. The front of the neck with get the classic belly plates you normally see on a dragon. Its a shame tho, they look so smooth I don't really want to mess with them lol!! And like I mentioned before I'm not interested in doing the bottom belly (underneath) so I'm leaving that part alone.. I'm just trying to build a dragon, later on down the road I'll make one a little better then this one.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this project so far.. I'm almost done now.
