Georg Goltermann was a German conductor and composer who lived from 1824 to 1898. Although this little prelude was composed for the organ or harmonium, it was as a player of and composer for the cello that he was chiefly famous.
The harmonium in this video is an unrestored example of an "Improved English Model" by the firm of E. and W. Snell of London. It has a single bank of reeds made in Paris by the firm of Turbain et Cie.
