The crossings are: Ashtown, Coolmine, Porterstown, Clonsilla, Barberstown, Blakestown, Fernslock, Annascannon, Thomastown, Killucan, Downs Bog, Culleenmore, Levington, Multyfarnham, Streete, Clonwhelan, Edgeworthstown, Clonahard, Dromard, Cortober, Tawran and Ballymote and they pass through counties Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Westmeath, Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo.
