Along with my sister, Leigh Parise, PhD, I have founded an organization called Classroom Champions that connects Olympians and Paralympians, utilizing communications technology and social media, with underserved classrooms around the U.S. and the world. With my experience as a 3-time U.S. Olympian and Gold Medalist (4-man Bobsled), the American athleteapos;s ability to give back has never been equaled with todayapos;s reach through technology and social media. These athletes are impacting our communities in which role-models are in desperate need, and that need turns very quickly into higher drop-out rates and lower chances of success.
