This piece explores the idea of contemplating some of the deeper mysteries in life. After introducing the primary themes, the piece then cycles through them in different various, registers, rhythms, textures, timbres, and dynamics;
just as one would consider an enigma from every possible angle. In the end, however, one realizes that some mysteries can never truly be solved or figured out, but simply contemplated.
