Ryzen 3700X vs Xeon E5 2689 - 8 Core 16 Threads Benchmark

Today we are taking a step back and having a look at the Xeon E5 2689, an 8 core 16thread Server chip built on the sandy bridge architechture. You can get it very cheap on ALiexpress for under 100usd and couple it with a X79 motherboard for another 60 dollars along with some cheap ECC ram you're looking at a combo for less than $200. Now we compare it to the ryzen 3700x, also a 8 core 16thgread CPU but buying the ryzen combo will set you back more than $500. So in this video i'm comparing the two and yes, of course the ryzen is gona be better but the Xeon isnt that bad around 20% slower. I think this is very good value if you can afford the latest ryzen but want those extra cores and threads. If i were on a budget I would no doubt be looking at the xeon combo.
