This week we restore an abandoned 1979 Honda CX500 Cafe racer. This bike was sitting for many years and handed off from owner to owner after one of them started the project that no one else wanted to finish. We took on the challenge and completed the project hopefully as close as possible to the original owner’s vision.
Another 1979 CX500 video, we ended up borrowing some parts from our parts bike, such as the new Y shaped headers, ignition switch and front wheel mph counter. In this video we tackle the milky oil, dropping the engine, painting everything, checking the front forks, and just making sure we chack every part of this bike before re-assembling.
