The Riviera Beach Police Department is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with St. Mary's Medical Center, JFK North, and the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs. This collaboration aims to bolster efforts in homeless outreach through the implementation of the CO-Response Model Policing initiative. Recognizing the complexities of addressing homelessness, the Riviera Beach Police Department is adopting the co-response model to redefine crisis response. This innovative approach involves a police officer, a mental health clinician, and a service provider working together to proactively reach out to homeless individuals within the community. By engaging directly with these individuals, the team aims to break down barriers and foster trust, providing much-needed support and resources.
