This music was made famous in Walt Disney's 'Fantasia,' to such an extent that Paul Dukas has become virtually a "one hit" composer! In this televised performance from 1961, Pierre Monteux conducts the London Symphony Orchestra of which he had just become principal conductor, a post he was to hold until his death in 1964 at the age of 89.
