Hald Hovedgaard, often simply called Hald, is an old manor house by Hald Lake in Dollerup Parish near Viborg. Hald Hovedgård was built in 1787 by county judge Frederich Schinkel (1719-94). Schinkel was known as “The Mad Schinkel” and “The Peasant Plague” as he was said to be a tough and combative man.
