Akai’s added a full-color screen for real-time visual feedback, separate Pitch and Mod wheels for expressive playing, and eight RGB MPC pads with eight assignable knobs for drums, macros, and sound shaping. The expanded transport controls keep you hands-on with built-in record, play, undo/redo, quantize, and automation shortcuts fully mapped to major DAWs including Ableton, Logic, FL, Bitwig, and Cubase — no setup needed.

The creative tools go even deeper with a smarter arpeggiator, featuring Pattern, ARP Freeze, and Mutate, and Scale and Chord modes so you can stay in key and build harmonies instantly. Connectivity is future-ready with USB-C power/data and a full-size MIDI Out for external synths and hardware rigs.
