As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide patients with direct nursing care. You'll record vital signs, change bandages and dressings, and administer prescribed medications. In addition, you'll work as part of a larger medical team to coordinate and evaluate a patient's treatment. You might supervise the work of other nurses, and complete detailed reports. Often, you'll provide education on health matters. Registered Nurses work in hospitals, doctor's offices, nursing homes, medical clinics, and in education and government services. Registered Nurses (RN) attain a two-year degree or three-year diploma. Many have baccalaureate degrees. RNs have an expanded set of duties and are frequently employed in hospital settings.
