How I Painted a Realistic Leopard in Watercolor (Timelapse Demo)

This video takes you through the entire process of painting a leopard in realistic watercolor. I show you a variety of techniques and explain how I build up layers to create a lifelike form. You will see how I start from the main features - the eyes and nose in this case. I like to have them in place as I work on the remainder of the portrait. Next I will show how I use wet in wet washes to build the foundation of the fur detail. This is then applied over the top in ever darkening layers. I work systematically around the leopard and finally finish with the tiny details and highlights that bring the cat to life.
