Wood turning an Ambrosia Maple segmented bowl

Another attempt at a segmented bowl. Not wanting to just glue on a solid piece of wood on the bottom for the face-plate support, I used my CNC machine to cut out a circle on the bottom segment and matching disc to fill the opening, it worked pretty well. Next time I intend to cut the disc out of thicker wood to have material available for a bottom tendon. Hope you enjoyed the video!
