We met Patrick early one morning. We had just arrived in Portland and we spotted him on the street. He agreed to the interview and we set up the cameras in front of a house. Patrick told us about being a marine and also about how he became homeless during the Rose Festival Parade. Although Patrick has been eligible for his military pension he has decided not to take it yet. He told us that one day he hopes to see his family again and to show them that he is alright and that he was able to turn his life around.
