STORYLINE:

There were clashes in the West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday.

Israeli troops entering the area in army jeeps were met with stones and other missiles before using smoke grenades.

Palestinian sources said that army troops entered high-rises buildings in the old city.

An Israeli military spokesperson said that troops were searching for Palestinians on the Israeli wanted list, and that the operation had been completed.
