Sewing the Seeds supports women in India who face systemic barriers to safe work and economic independence. Co-founder and CEO Sakshi Thakur OAM recently pitched at The Funding Network's Women & Girls: Asia-Pacific live crowdfunding event to expand the organisation’s program, co-creating real and dignified work opportunities for women living in poverty and enabling them to make their own life choices.
Building on the success of its training and production centre in Pondicherry, Sewing the Seeds is working to expand into Khatu Shyam. This growth will provide more women with textile education, sustainable income pathways, and access to international markets, empowering them to build financial security, gain independence and lead their communities forward.
