🇨🇱 This Santiago Hike Has Everything | Japanese Gardens, Fruit & Epic Views

I hiked to the incredible Japanese Gardens in Santiago, Chile.

In this video you will follow me up San Cristobal hill (mountain to me!), in Chile's sprawling and stunning capital Santiago, as I firstly head for the Jardin Japones in Metropolitan Park.

"A sublime park that transports us to the Japanese Gardens of the twelfth century for its distinctive Japanese species such as cherry blossoms, lotus flowers, acer japonico, creeping cotoneasters and azaleas. Designed by architect Tadashi Asah at the initiative of the Chilean-Japanese Chamber of Commerce to commemorate 100 years of relations between the two countries. Inaugurated in 1997 by Prince Hitachi, in the Japanese Garden in the Metropolitan Park, its water wheel and pool with lotus flowers are striking."

I also go in pursuit of the delicious wild fruit from the hillside fruit trees that I found two days earlier, and I find the most delicious wild plums again and share my find with you!

The views on this walk are simply remarkable and I can't get enough of Santiago!

Caminé hasta los increíbles Jardines Japoneses en Santiago de Chile.

En este video me acompañarás a subir el cerro San Cristóbal (¡una montaña para mí!), en la extensa y espectacular capital de Chile, Santiago, mientras me dirijo primero al Jardín Japonés en el Parque Metropolitano.

«Un parque sublime que nos transporta a los jardines japoneses del siglo XII por sus distintivas especies japonesas como cerezos en flor, flores de loto, acer japonico, cotoneásteres rastreros y azaleas. Diseñado por el arquitecto Tadashi Asah por iniciativa de la Cámara Chileno-Japonesa de Comercio para conmemorar los 100 años de relaciones entre ambos países. Inaugurado en 1997 por el Príncipe Hitachi, en el Jardín Japonés del Parque Metropolitano destacan su rueda de agua y el estanque con flores de loto.»
