This particular segment aired during the Countdown episode which originally aired on September 14, 1980, on the ABC.
This clip features the guest hosts of that episode, American band KISS (at the time featuring lead singer Paul Stanley, bass guitatist Gene Simmons, lead guitarist Ace Frehley, and drummer Eric Carr, all with their trademark make-up), in New York City in the lead-up to their first Australian tour in November 1980.
