The Rode NT2000 is a reasonably priced dual large diaphragm multipattern condenser mic. Unlike the more common 3 pattern mics, it offers continuously variable patterns from omni to bidirectional. Here I'm comparing my NT2000 to the much more expensive Shure KSM44.
The audio in this clip was captured through an RME UFX interface and level matched using a 1 khz test tone before being exported from REAPER. Then I used Edius to switch back and forth from one microphone to the other.
Of course listening on Youtube is not the best way to compare audio, so I've also provided both clips for you to download. Go to the Homebrewed Music Blog http://www.homebrewedmusic.com/2014/0... and download the clips to your computer for detailed listening.
