Bodh Gaya to Varanasi | Uruvela Forest, Pragbodhi Mountain (Dhungeswara Hill) & Sujata Temple

Join me on a journey through the heart of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh! 🌄✨

Our day begins with a breakfast followed by a visit to the sacred Falgu River and the historic site of Uruvela. We then hike up the serene Dhungeswara Hill (Pragbodhi Mountain) to explore the mystical Dhungasiri Cave, believed to be where the Buddha practiced severe asceticism.

After that we visit the Sujata Temple, dedicated to the woman who offered Buddha milk-rice.

We break for a lunch and say our goodbyes to the holy town — Bye Bye Gaya! 👋

Next stop: Varanasi.

We end our day with a warm welcome at The Pinnacle Inn in Varanasi and enjoy a dinner to wrap up this day.
