Glen Feshie - Glen Tromie Loop | Gravel Bike Ride in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

The route linking Glen Feshie and Glen Tromie is a highly recommended Cairngorms Classic. Especially after a new bridge and track were built a few years ago, and there is no more bog pushing and river fording involved.
Because of the better views you get going clockwise, I much prefer riding this gravel loop from Glen Feshie over to Glen Tromie rather than the other way around.

This route starts at the car park 1 km north of Auchlean. After crossing a small burn and the Pony Bridge, it's a lovely ride further into beautiful Glen Feshie. A steep ascent follows to reach Loch an t-Sluic, which may well require some hike-a-biking. Don't forget to look back at the views when you stop for a breather.

The cycle from the top over to Glen Tromie is on some lovely gravel tracks with great panoramic views.
It's well worth stopping near the end of the ascent into Glen Tromie, just before the final steep bit, to take in some more magnificent views. After a lovely cruise to Drumguish, you'll turn right to get back to Glen Feshie.
There are various ways to get back to the car park near Auchlean. On this ride I decided to take a higher route to catch some more amazing gravel trails and majestic views.

Looking for a longer adventure than this 52.5 km loop? The beauty of cycling in this part of the Cairngorms National Park is how easily you can adapt your route to suit any distance. You could add more tracks in Glen Feshie itself, including the stunning Uath Lochans. Or start from Aviemore and link to routes on the Rothiemurchus Estate and the Moor of Feshie.
