This should be the same for 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 Volkswagen Passat and some Audi models with the V6 30V 2.8L B5.5. I had a hard time finding any info about the auxiliary/electric water pump location. Make sure you check the front temperature sensor, this car has two. Front and back.
