Saturday 23 August served up perfect weather, so I seized the opportunity to capture a fresh aerial view of Durban’s iconic 8km promenade. I first filmed this stretch back in November 2019, and revisiting it six years later offers a fascinating glimpse into how much the landscape has evolved.
If you’ve never seen the promenade from end to end—or even if you have—this new video is worth a watch. From Blue Lagoon to the harbour mouth, it showcases the full beauty and energy of Durban’s coastline from above.
