None of the footage from the 2005 'Cars' teaser trailer made it into the movie with the animation style changing as well. However, the Piston Cup racers shown sport very interesting and wildly different designs, including the original concept for Lightning McQueen himself as a Corrosion Seal stock car. Darrow Design customized one based on a Cal Weathers model racer, marking one of the few custom attempts of any characters from the original teaser trailer.
