In Florida, there are card rooms where the players are playing against a “banker” instead of the house. The bankers are employees of a separate company and not employed by the house. The dealers are employees of the house and only provide a service of dealing. The “banker” collects losses and pays winnings to the players. When we tip, we are tipping the dealer for their services, at no point do any tips or anything of value go to the banker.
