I recently purchased the Touring Guitar from Musicians friend and I thought I'd share my thoughts.

UPDATE - I took it to on my trip to Florida.
No problems with carrying it on and putting in overhead compartment.
I played a few Open Mics and it sounded great.

In this video, I review the McPherson Touring Guitar, a 3/4 scale carbon fiber guitar. I provide sound samples both unplugged and plugged into a Focusrite interface with no EQ applied.

I bought this guitar for travel, looking for a compact option that wouldn't need a separate ticket or risky luggage check. After comparing it to other travel guitars like the Journey Overhead, Taylor Mini, and smaller Martins, I found the McPherson offers superior sound quality.

Here's what I think about it:

Pros: Beautiful design, high-quality build, strong pickup, excellent tuners, and a durable, stylish case.
Cons: Difficult battery change with large hands, bulky case that's not much smaller than a full-size guitar case.
While the guitar isn't very loud unplugged, I find it perfect for singing without being overpowered. The case includes handy accessories like a sound hole cover and an alternative bridge for different action preferences.
