I recorded these washing machine noises at home in my bathroom.

I've been trying to record the sound of my old washing machine for quite some time. After 2-3 attempts I realised that loading the washing machine with clothes with metal zippers or with heavy items like bath towels was not a good idea. Metal zippers on clothes tend to bang against the glass door causing spikes in the audio file and bath towels are heavy and make strange loud noises.

For this video, I only used t-shirts and other lightweight clothing with no metal parts. The recorder was placed about 20 cm / 8 inches in front of the door. In my opinion the sound is quite pleasant, not as soft as the sound of newer washing machines, but it works.
