Nick Fouquet creates felt and straw hats that have struck a chord with hipsters and fashion fans across the globe. Working out of his studio on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, he finds inspiration from the surfers and skaters that frequent the nearby Venice Beach boardwalk. Here, he guides us through the multistep process to make a felt hat, which includes blasting it with a naked flame and adding signature bands, feathers and a single matchstick.
