How to create a perfect 3D microphone grille in Cinema 4D. Here's my process to create the perfect 3D microphone grille by using the formula spline to create the base wire mesh pattern with a fully procedural rig which we can use to craete perfect individual mesh patterns.
Then use a cloth animation on a regular plane to then transfer the simulation to our 3D grille pattern. That way we can retain the weave structure and still get a perfect shape.
