When young Beverly Washburn was cast as one of the child leads in the Walt Disney classic, "Old Yeller" (1957), it was a dream come true. "Any one of the Mouseketeers could have played that part," she recalled during our interview. Having already appeared in the Superman TV pilot and in "The Lone Ranger" (1956) color feature with Clayton Moore, Beverly was already a veteran of dozens of movies and TV series. She easily made the transition to adult roles and even appeared with Lon Chaney Jr in the bizarre cult classic, "Spider Baby." Beverly fondly remembers both and happily shares her memories.
