The pull start on my Troy Bilt weed trimmer jammed and then stopped working. After taking it apart, a found that one of the catch levers used to engage the motor had broken off. I found a replacement oil pan assembly on Amazon.
MTD 753-08503 Line Trimmer Engine Oil Pan Assembly
Here are the steps I took to replace the oil pan and fix the pull start mechanism. Very easy fix.
