Today we take our last walk of February along the big roadway of Ocean Parkway. With some commentary on a nice Spring like day with temps in the 50's, we will start the walk on Surf Avenue in Coney Island and make our way to Ocean Parkway. Once we get onto Ocean Parkway, we will make our way through the neighborhoods of Gravesend and Midwood, with the walk ending on Avenue P.

Ocean Parkway is one of Brooklyn's biggest traffic roadways, complete with 6 traffic lanes, and 2 walk & bike lanes on either side. Big apartment and condo towers line the parkway in the first section of Ocean Parkway. Then as we get deeper into the area, we start to see some very nice homes that line the street.

Ocean Parkway is a busy traffic roadway, but the background noise is not as loud as you might think, with foot and bike traffic being present during the walk. We will walk on both the sidewalk area and the bike & walk lanes, switching back and forth from time to time.
