Ford Focus on aerodynamics - Active Grille Shutter

Ford's all-new Focus has an ultra-slippery body shape that increases stability at speed and minimises fuel consumption. It's been honed to perfection in a huge wind-tunnel in Germany and features active technology that smoothes the airflow over the front of the car to cut drag.

The Active Grille Shutter is just one of a multitude of drag-reducing features found on the all-new Focus. Other features include a completely sealed front end, optimised front wheel deflectors, a lower front deflector, engine undershield, streamlined door mirrors and care-ully crafted A-pillars which reduce both drag and wind noise.
