Why Life Doesn’t Feel Fun Anymore (and How to Fix It)

If your life isn't feeling fun anymore, it might have something to do with infinite games, finite games, the true self and the false self. I want to talk about burnout and relearning how to play. I have spent the last couple of months working on some films for the channel that feel like going home to myself as a kid and I can’t wait to share them all with you. This video is about why life can stop feeling fun, how burnout causes us to hate our passions, and reconnecting with your inner child to learn how to play again. It is deeply personal and was made with an abundance of love. I hope you can feel it.

In this video I wanted to really talk about my experience with burnout and how it it made me stop loving my passions in my early and late 20's. There are two concepts that, to me, feel paramount to this whole idea:

1) The philosophical and psychoanalytical idea of the False Self vs the True Self.
2) The idea of “Infinite Games and Finite Games” from James P. Carse.

These two things gave me a new perspective on how to have fun again doing the things that I love.
