This video is part of a series on Grandparents Rights. In this playlist we will address the statutes that allow grandparents to come into court to seek various types of custody, as well as some of the limitations in doing so. In this video, Alycia Kinchloe talks about 5324 which addresses grandparents seeking ANY type of custody including primary physical custody.
In this video, we address standing, which is the right to come into court to ask for something. Just because a court gives a grandparent the right to come into court, it does not mean that they will be AWARDED primary physical custody or any type of custody.
This can be a highly technical area of law. Failure to make the right arguments may prevent you from getting further in the process or can open the door to a grandparent having physical custody of a child whether neither biological/legal parent wishes them to do so. You should speak with your attorney about the facts specific to your case. This video is not legal advice and is for informational purposes only.
