Sculpting an Ear in Monster Clay (Timelapse)

This video shows some clay sculpting practice I did of an ear using Monster clay. This sculpt was made using several different reference images that aren't shown in the video. Some of the tools that were used to sculpt this piece were handmade out of old ballpoint pens and discarded guitar strings. Near the end of the video, you can see me use these tools to rake over the clay and even out any inconsistencies. I then brushed on mineral spirits to smooth out the surface.
