Modifying a tool for making jewelry (perfect for stretching links and chain making)

I thoroughly enjoy making silver chains of all shapes and sizes.
Using this tool to stretch links can be a great help, however fine wires can be easily overstretched and sometimes break.
I solved this problem by fitting an adjustable and lockable stop to these pliers.
Now I can conveniently stretch links to the same repeatable size.
