We will start our journey in Putrajaya, a visionary planned city and the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. The seat of government was shifted in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya
Kuala Lumpur remains Malaysia's national capital, and is the seat of the King and Parliament as well as the home of the country's commercial and financial centre.
Then we will visit The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque. It is the country's largest mosque and also the second largest mosque in Southeast Asia after Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta in Indonesia. Its most distinguishing feature is its large blue and silver dome.
It is a fine example of vision and Islamic art
Then for a change to Klang, a royal town and former capital of the state of Selangor.
Klang has many Indian/Hindu influences and a complete different style, as you can see also from the amazing contrast between a mosque and a Hindu temple
We will end our journey in the museum of Islamic art in Kuala Lumpur, which has many fine examples of Islamic art, focused on the depiction of patterns, whether purely geometric or floral, and Arabic calligraphy and presents an enlightened view of the Islam.
