Tórshavn til Gásadalur

Here's the first of three drives from the Faroe Islands. This footage starts with a tour of Tórshavn before heading into the hills of western Streymoy. If you're familiar with the road network here, you'll know there are two roads heading north through Streymoy and this video showcases the more scenic road 50.

Next up is the island of Vágar, where you'll find some of the most iconic views on the archipelago as well as the airport. The drive ends when we reach Gásadalur, a tiny village with an impressive waterfall, linked to the rest of the island chain via a single track tunnel.

The opening to the video, detailing how I reached the Faroes from Fife is meant to be a nod to Steve Marsh and his excellent content. As for why I didn't start the video at the airport and show the drive to Tórshavn, that's because the weather was bleak on arrival and showing that drive would have missed out the road to Gásadalur.
