Thanks to my cousin Sam, who wanted me to do a slideshow of all the costumes I've made. This isn't all of them, but it's a lot, at least.
Any of the group costumes, for my dance groups, I did NOT sew them all myself. There were a whole lot of parties in the living room, a whole lot of feeding people coffee and muffins and spaghetti and tacos... and an awful lot of alcohol. Because wine and sewing go together.
The eras start in the Middle Ages, and then there's Henrician, Elizabethan, Colonial/Baroque, Regency, the Romantic Era of the 1840s-1860s, the bustle eras (and the natural form in between), some vintage bathing suits from when I used to throw vintage bathing suit parties, the 1890s and Turn of the Century, some 1920s, 30s and 40s, the poodle skirt for the 1950s that I made in high school, the Pan Am stewardess uniform I made to represent aviation history in the 1960s. And then I've concluded with a tribute to all the belly dance costumes and cancan costumes that were DEFINITELY a group effort.
