I use this song as an example of a bass line utilizing root and 5th notes. The bass line uses the root and 5ths of the chords being played - A (A root and E 5th), D (D root and A 5th), E (E root and B 5th). This an example of how the bass plays the roots and 5th to create that classic country, "honky tonk" feel.
