Join us on Facebook live Tuesday, February 8, 5:30 p.m. for a discussion with Susan A. Stoner, PhD. Participants will learn the effects of prenatal alcohol exposure on the developing fetus, effects of prenatal exposure to common drugs of abuse, and the etiology and treatment of neonatal abstinence syndrome.
Dr. Susan Stoner is a Research Associate Professor at the Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a Washington-licensed psychologist. She completed her bachelor's degree in psychology at Johns Hopkins University and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Washington, where she studied the effects of alcohol on social cognition. Since July of 2020, she has been the Director of the Washington State Parent-Child Assistance Program, which is a 3-year case management intervention for women who have used drugs or alcohol during pregnancy.
