We had so many comments asking about my Chuda Ceremony as that is a super important function for every Punjabi bride. Essentially your mama (mothers brother) gets the Chuda - in my case we actually got the Chuda from Abhushnam - my father-in-law's own store, which is also the biggest and best beauty store of Hisar and the design is very different from the traditional Punjabi Chuda.
Ghari Gharoli is a Pre-Wedding ritual (Rasam) in Punjabi weddings where the 'ghada' of water is brought for the bride’s bath by the her brother's wife (bhabhi). Basically the Bhabhi collects water from 7 houses or from a temple or handpump water. After the bath with this water, only after this the bride is supposed to wear the Chooda and dress up for the wedding.
