In this video. you will learn how to divide numbers in base 8 using the Long division method. In the case of this example to divide (36723)8 by (7)8, the first step is to prepare a multiplication table for 7 in base 8. For example 7×2=14 in base 10, but because the question is in base 8, we have to convert 14 to base 8 by dividing 14 by 8 to give 1 remainder 6 which equals 16. repeat this process for all multiplication of 7.The next step is to divide the numbers using the multiplication table for (7)8. Divide until zero is obtained to arrive at your final answer.
