Why I HATE Powerscaling

Powerscaling debates are everywhere—from Reddit threads to YouTube comments—and for a while, people kept asking me to make “who would win?” videos about Godzilla. But here’s the thing: I hate powerscaling. In this video, I explain why.

From the toxicity it brings to fan communities, to how it reduces mythic, expressive storytelling into spreadsheets and stats, powerscaling sucks the life out of what makes kaiju and action fiction great. I also respond to common defenses of powerscaling, share viewer comments from my recent community poll (where 68% of you agreed with me), and break down why I think this trend is warping how we engage with fiction.
