This video is a play through of all sections of 'Pilgrim's Reach' by Kelly Joe Phelps. The song is from the most recent studio album by KJP - Brother Sinner & The Whale. I was asked to transcribe and play through this song by one of my Patrons- thanks Michael.

It's important to note here that this song has a Double Dropped D tuning:
DADGBD and capo on the 2nd fret, this is part of what adds the cool mysterious kind of sound to the song - particularly in the chorus.
The tuning and capo places it in the key of E minor, but all the chord shapes and thought process (and the transcription that I have done) are thought of as if the song is in D minor.

Your pinky is important in this one - and as with most KJP songs there's some pretty tricky stretches, and travis picking throughout.
It's a lot of fun to play this one, the verses do vary a bit on the original recording and certainly live, so experiment with it as you go. Kelly Joe himself would often experiment with songs and in live performances songs sometimes became unrecognisable!
